EDGE Certified Foundation Launches Pay Equity and Transparency Certification

The EDGE Certified Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification and the EDGEplus Pay Equity and Transparency Certification.

The new certifications provide organizations with a structured, independently verified framework to assess and manage pay equity and transparency.

Available as stand-alone certifications or as part of the broader EDGE and EDGEplus Certification frameworks, they offer organizations a practical pathway to demonstrate their commitment to equitable and transparent pay practices through objective evidence and independent verification.

The launch comes at a time when pay transparency requirements are expanding across jurisdictions. From the EU Pay Transparency Directive to new and evolving reporting obligations in countries such as the United Kingdom, Brazil, Japan, and Switzerland, organizations are increasingly expected not only to comply with legal requirements but also to demonstrate that pay equity is being actively monitored and managed.

Equal pay for equivalent work is both a fundamental principle of fairness and an increasingly important business priority,” said Aniela Unguresan, Founder of the EDGE Certified Foundation.

Organizations are facing growing expectations to provide credible evidence that their compensation practices are equitable and transparent. The EDGE Pay Equity and Transparency Certification gives organizations a clear, structured, and independently verified way to demonstrate their commitment.

The certifications are available to organizations with 30 or more employees.

For organizations seeking a more intersectional perspective, the EDGEplus Pay Equity and Transparency Certification enables the analysis of gender in intersection with race/ethnicity, helping uncover disparities that may not be visible through a gender-only analysis.

By combining rigorous methodology, clear standards of performance, and independent third-party verification, the new certifications provide organizations with a credible benchmark for managing pay equity and transparency in a rapidly evolving regulatory and stakeholder environment.
